How to Use Internal Commenting

How to Enable Internal Commenting #

1. Turn Enable Comments ON in Settings

Navigate to Message Portal > Settings and turn on the toggle beside Enable Comments.


How to Send an Internal Comment #

1. Navigate to Comment Box

While in the conversation you’d like to comment on, click inside the comment box at the bottom of the Conversation Section.

2. Tag Teammate

Click inside the Comment Box and type the @ symbol. Then choose the teammate you’d like to comment to from the pop-up list.

3. Type Your Message & Send

Next, type your message and click the gray arrow to the right. This will send the message ONLY to the person you tagged, NOT to the customer.


Internal Comments Conversations List #

View the list of conversations that contains Internal Comments.

1. Click the arrow icon to the left of ‘My Conversations’.

Then select ‘Comments’ to view conversations containing Internal Comments.

2. Choose the conversation you’d like to view.

Internal Comments Indicator #

New Internal Comments are shown as two gray chat icons to the right of your conversations. Once you have read the new comment, the icons will clear.

You will also receive a desktop notification when you receive a new Internal Comment.


How to Unsubscribe from Internal Comments in a Conversation #

1. Click the gray Bell icon in the top right corner of the conversation screen.

This will remove you from internal comment notifications for this conversation.
